They say your life flashes before your eyes before you die.  You see all of your happiness, all of your joy, everyone you loved.  You also see all of your pain, your heartache, all the sorrows.  You see all the times you've laughed, every smile, and every hug.  You see all the times you've cried, every tear, and every fear.  You see yourself in a new light.  You see yourself from a third-person perspective.  You see the times you've tried, the times you've failed.  You see all of the kindness you've brought to this world, touching the hearts of everyone you meet.  You see your acts of vengance, your hatred, all those you've hurt.  You see the pains you've caused, the pains you've felt.  You regret all you've done, and for the first time, you feel true remorse.  But most of all, you regret what you didn't do.  You regret all the time you could've said "no."  You regret the chances that you let slip by.  You realize how worthless your life is, no matter how "successful" you were.  Nobody lives a perfect life, and you know this.  But at least you could've tried. You wish you hadn't left your friends, your family, all behind.  You wish you'd have been a better person.  You wish you could see, if even for just a moment, those you love, one last time.  Yes, the moments before death are depressing.  No matter how happy your life was, the pains and regrets will be what plagues you most.  They say that your life passes before your eyes once more before you die.
